Chris Cornell Salina Tickets

Chris Cornell is one of the most distinct voices of rock, having played a seminal role in pioneering the grunge movement during the '90s. He has been associated with some of the biggest acts that feature in the rock pantheon and has encapsulated many facets of the rock universe, into which the upcoming Chris Cornell Salina event will serve as a portal.

Born as Christopher John Boyle in 1964, Chris Cornell spent most of his childhood years in the comfort of his own self, and commenced his musical exploration at age nine after coming across a collection Beatles records abandoned in a neighbor's house.

Starting a band called The Shemps that serially featured bassists Hiro Yamamoto and Kim Thayil, Cornell seeded Soundgarden in 1984. The band blasted in to the Superunknown in the '90s, hitting the top of Billboard 200 and then came Down on the Upside at number 2, with singles such as "Burden in My Hand" topping the rock charts.

Cornell's stint with Audioslave in the new millennium and yielded equally ripe fruit in the form of three top-ten records including the chart-topping Out of Exile and the multi-platinum Audioslave, spawning hits such as "Like a Stone" and "Be Yourself". Cornell's own solo offering Scream, featuring the production prowess of Timbaland, broke into Billboard 200's top-ten. And you will certainly be doing a lot of your own screaming at the Chris Cornell Salina gig.
